Inspired by the people of The Maasai Mara, locally just known as The Mara, a beautiful game reserve in Kenya that extends to the Serengeti in Tanzania. Named Mara in honour of the Maasai people and their rich robes. Red is the most traditional colour worn for honour, courage and unity. Black is worn during ceremonies for connection to god. Engai their god manifests himself in the form of different colours, according to the feelings he is experiencing. The iconic stripes and checks of the mara are distinctive against the landscape of short bushes and tall acacia trees and make a striking silhouette.
This beautiful and versatile kimono in the lightest and softest natural rayon voile fabric which feels wonderful against the skin. It has an easy feel with deep front pockets and is great for travelling. It's your morning robe, your bikini coverup and you can also dress it over heels and jeans or shorts for a cool summer evening look.
